According to the Phillipine BusinessMirror, the first Android phone from Acer will be called the A1 and will launch in September. In case you’re wondering, the mysterious white handset pictured above is the upcoming Acer C1, which should be released alongside the A1.
There’s no source for this news, so consider it a rumor.

Acer DX900
Acer’s upcoming smartphone appears to be a simple copy of the existing Glofiish DX900 by E-Ten, which Acer acquired some time ago. The phone still runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, and features a dual-SIM slot, GPS navigation, a 3Mpix camera, and a 2.8″ VGA touchscreen.
I know, no one wants to buy an old handset as a new one. We’ll see if it’s true after the Acer DX900 is presented at MWC 2009 show.
