Sprint’s Q1-Q3 2009 Roadmap Revealed

Thanks to Boy Genius we now know what handsets Sprint plans to bring in the following 6 months.

The leaked Q1-Q3 roadmap looks very promising, especially since it includes such players like Palm Pre scheduled for Q2, the Blackberry Niagara releasing in Q3, as well as several new Samsung and HTC devices. Is it for real or the whole listing is fake? Only time will tell.

The Gigabyte’s newest handset called Gsmart M1220 is definitely something to be considered when buying a new smartphone. It’s a business-centric phone similar in design to Treo Pro/Bold and running WM6.5 OS. Also, its feature set is pretty much all you need.

Windows Mobile 7 in 2010

windows-mobile-71Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, has confirmed that the highly anticipated Windows Mobile 7 OS will become commercially available only in 2010. Manufacturers will get it earlier, in November, and the first smartphones/PDAs running WM7 will arrive sometime around April of next year.

We sure hope they’ll release a WM7 Beta.


Windows 3.1 on Nokia N95

Check it out! Some hacker has managed to install the old Windows 3.1 onto a Symbian-powered Nokia N95. Apparently, he used DOSBox to emulate the x86 CPU on the phone, which then allowed him to install the said OS.
What do you think, is it a serious achievement?
